Warehouse Picker / Packer — North Shields

Contract Start: Multiple start dates in June 2026 and beyond

Hours: 4 on 2 off - 8 hours per day

Pay: £12.71 per hour for first 12 weeks, rising to £13.01 per hour thereafter


Key responsibilities

  • Accurately pick customer orders using handheld scanners or paper pick lists.
  • Pack garments securely to company standard, including quality and presentation checks.
  • Label and prepare parcels/pallets for dispatch.
  • Operate pallet trucks and other basic warehouse equipment safely (training provided).
  • Maintain a clean, tidy and safe workstation and assist with general housekeeping in the warehouse.
  • Help with goods in: checking deliveries, counting, and placing stock into location.
  • Report damaged/incorrect stock and escalate issues to supervisors.
  • Meet productivity and accuracy targets (KPIs such as picks/hour and order accuracy).
  • Follow health & safety procedures, including PPE and manual handling protocols.


What we’re looking for

  • Previous warehouse or retail stock experience desirable but not essential.
  • Comfortable with manual handling and standing/walking for extended periods.
  • Good attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
  • Able to work reliably on a day shift, Mon–Fri, 37.5 hours/week.
  • Good timekeeping and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Right to work in the UK and able to complete pre‑employment checks.


Physical demands & equipment

  • Regular lifting/carrying of boxes/garments (training provided). Typical lift weights up to 20–25kg with appropriate equipment/assistance.
  • Use of pallet trucks and hand tools — full training given. No accredited forklift licence required for this role.
