Machine Operative

We are currently looking for a Machine Operative for our client in Northampton.

Shift & Pay Details:
Salary: £12.50 per hour
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 0600 - 1615
Location: Northampton, NN4

Key Responsibilities of a Machine Operative:

 Operating a wide range of machines as trained
 Ability to interpret engineering drawings
 Loading and unloading machines efficiently and safely
 Monitoring machine performance and reporting any faults
 Completing all safety checks prior to operating the machines and recording appropriately
 Ensuring quality checks are carried out at appropriate intervals and reporting any issues or concerns
 Ability to correctly use and read a range of quality checking equipment
 Emptying the machines in a safe manner
 Returning any quality checking equipment once a job has finished
 General housekeeping, ensuring work area is free from oils


Qualifications & Skills:

 Previous experience within the manufacturing industry
 Keen knowledge of blueprints and measurements
 Able to communicate between different departments
 Running fault reports
