GI Group are currently recruiting a Class 2 Driver for one of our many local authorities.

We are looking for Class 2 Drivers to work starting ASAP.

- Day Shifts [0730 - 1600] HRS
- Monday to Friday
- Average 8 hour shift

Pay & Benefits:

- Monday to Friday: - £15.58 - £17.46
- Weekly pay

Main Duties will include:

- Conducting Vehicle safety checks and road worthiness
- Collect the delivery, load trolleys securely and deliver to site
- Trolleys will need to be unloaded at the site of delivery

The Candidate:

- Valid Category C (HGV Class II) licence and Driver Qualification Card (CPC) - essential for operating heavy goods vehicles.
- Experience carrying out vehicle safety checks and maintenance to ensure legal roadworthiness.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures and road safety in traffic environments.
- Driver will need a in date Tacho card, and CPC card, full driving licence.
- Able to use a tail lift on the vehicle.
- Competent in using in-cab systems and software to record service delivery and incidents.
- Clear communication skills for working with team members and engaging with the public.
- Flexible and physically fit, able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and in all weather conditions.
- Commitment to high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service, representing the Council positively.
