My client a large international manufacturing company has a vacancy for a Manufacturing Operator working an early and back shift at their Peth location


The main function of a Manufacturing Operator is to carry out the production process by closely following the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instruction Documents and blueprints or drawings as they relate to assembly, materials handling, equipment operation, and finished goods packaging.

  • Monday to Friday = 6:00am - 2:30pm and 1:30pm - 10:00pm = 40 hours per week
  • 6 months with possibility for extension Temporary Assignment
  • Pay Rate £15.84 per hour
  • Manufacturing experience would be highly beneficial
  • Experience working in clear room as benefit


This position requires following Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and capable of keeping up with a fast- paced collaborative environment.


The Team is dynamic and fast paced, relying on teamwork, multitasking, and communication within the team and the larger organization. We are seeking an upbeat individual with strong communication, technical and operational skills to join our team. This position will be responsible for supporting the team in achieving daily production schedules and product quality goals.


What will you do?

  • Follows Manufacturing SOPs.
  • Completes Production Floor paperwork, including SOPs as required by the Quality System. Records information such as weight, time and date packaged.

* Starts, stops, and supervises speed of conveyors * Assists with validation of equipment * Reads and understands work orders to successfully set up material on production line, and verify and count the amounts required as per work order.

  • Inspects material, products and containers at each set up of production process.
  • Inserts or pours product into containers or fills from spout or chute.
  • Obtains and sort product.
  • Wraps protective material around product.
  • Weighs containers and adjusts quantity.
  • Closes and seals containers.
  • Labels containers, container tags, or products.
  • Sorts bundles or filled containers.
  • Packs special arrangements or selections of product.
  • Inspects material, products and container configurations each set up of packaging process.
  • Line Clearance - responsible to reconciliation and disposal of materials related to the job.
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, machines, glassware or equipment as needed.
  • Responsible for following ISO/cGMP Quality System Regulations with focus on SOP completion accuracy, product quality, and housekeeping activities.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel beneficial.

* Ability to understand and adapt to new schedules in environment due to priority changes * Ability to collaborate and work with other team members in a team-based environment * Ability to read and interpret as related to documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and react appropriately to changing priorities and impending deadlines
