Class 2 Delivery Driver (Temp to Perm Opportunity)

GI Group UK is seeking a professional Class 2 Delivery Driver for a temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate.  If you’re confident behind the wheel and adaptable to different routes, we’d love to hear from you.

Location: Peterborough

Hours:

• Monday–Thursday: 7:30am – 4:30pm, Friday: 7:00am – 4:00pm
• Pay: £17.00 per hour (including advanced holiday pay)*
• Breaks: 45 minutes unpaid per day

Key Responsibilities

• Load and unload packages, ensuring all items are delivered accurately and in good condition
• Maintain clear delivery records and complete required paperwork
• Deliver excellent customer service, managing inquiries and resolving issues
• Ensure the delivery vehicle is clean, sanitized, and maintained; conduct daily safety checks
• Act as a communication point between customers and the company, reporting any concerns

Requirements

• Valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence
• Minimum 12 months’ Class 2 driving experience
• Previous multi-drop driving experience preferred but not essential
• Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities

Working Environment:

Mainly road-based, with occasional warehouse work as required.
