PERMANENT POSITION
We are seeking a skilled Plater to join our client in Ripley, Derbyshire. You'll be instrumental in the manufacturing of bespoke precision components and contributing to high-quality engineering projects across a range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Marking out, cutting material and producing weld preps
• Operate fabrication equipment such as guillotines, press brakes, rollers, and grinders
• Working to tight tolerances and specific measurements
• Inspect finished products for quality assurance and compliance with specifications
Qualifications & Experience:
• Proven experience in plating within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Fabrication & Welding or equivalent certification preferred
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
• Skilled in MIG welding would be a bonus
Personal Attributes:
• Team player with a positive, proactive attitude
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality output
• Strong problem-solving skills and initiative
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
