Join Gi Group and work with one of the UK’s leading parcel delivery companies. This position is a temporary contract, offering ongoing work 12 months per year for the right candidate. Please note there maybe alcohol deliveries involved in this role

Class 1 Driver - Rates of Pay:

·        Days £19.61 per hour inclusive of your holiday pay (PAYE only)

·        Nights £20.45 per hour inclusive of your holiday pay (PAYE only)

Class 1 Driver – Shifts and Hours:

·        Shifts available 7 days a week

·        23:00-04:00 starts available

·        11:00-16:00 starts available

·        8-10 hours per day

Location: Coventry (CV8)

This role is commutable from: Coventry, Warwick, Leamington Spa, Stratford-upon-Avon, Rugby, Banbury, Southam, Kenilworth, Southeast Birmingham, Daventry, Crick and the other surrounding areas.  

Class 1 Driver – The Role:

·        Load / unload freight and secure load

·        Complete scheduled deliveries and collections (varied parcel weights

·        Ensure accurate completion of documentation

·         Perform vehicle checks and report defect

·         Work efficiently to meet deadlines

·        Please note there maybe alcohol deliveries involved in this role

 Class 1 Driver – the perfect candidate will have:

·        Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license + Driver CPC & DIGI Cards

·        Minimum 6 months Class 1 license + 6 months Class 1 driving experience

·        Max 6 SP penalty points accepted (no other endorsements)

·        Will be over 21 years of age for insurance purposes

·        Will be flexible and remain calm under pressure

·        Will have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail

·        2 years of work / education history 

·        Please note there maybe alcohol deliveries involved in this role
