Job Title: Production Team Leader (PM Shift)

Location: Scunthorpe

Industry: Food Manufacturing (Raw Meat Materials)

Shift: Monday to Friday, 3:00pm – 11:30pm

Pay Rate: £14.35 per hour

Start Date: Immediate (upon successful interview)

Role Overview:

We are recruiting a Production Team Leader to oversee the PM shift in a food manufacturing facility specialising in raw meat materials. The role ensures production targets, team performance, stringent health & safety, and food hygiene standards are maintained, with direct responsibility for quality control on shift.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of operatives throughout the PM shift
• Organise daily workflow and delegate tasks according to production needs
• Monitor output and productivity, ensuring consistent achievement of targets
• Quality control:Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
• Identify and resolve quality issues, including recording non-conformances and implementing corrective actions
• Maintain accurate quality documentation
• Enforce health & safety, food safety, and hygiene protocols
• Train, coach, and support team members on best practices, including quality standards
• Complete shift reports and escalate any operational or quality concerns
• Ensure all equipment is operated and cleaned according to company and industry requirements
• Oversee smooth shift handovers, communicating quality findings and unresolved issues

Person Specification:

• Experience in a supervisory or team leader role within food manufacturing (ideally raw meat environment)
• Strong understanding of food safety, health & safety, and quality control processes
• Leadership with good decision-making and troubleshooting skills
• Thorough attention to detail and commitment to compliance
• Effective communicator and motivator
