Apprenticeship Skills Tutor - Bricklaying
Salary up to £38,487pa
Permanent role - 37 hours per week
Location: Worksop (with regular off-site travel)
Gi Group is collaborating with a public sector organisation to find an experienced professional with a strong background in planning, delivering, and assessing apprenticeships under the Bricklaying Apprenticeship Standard.
In this role, you will use your expertise to support learners in developing up-to-date knowledge, skills, and behaviours, while maintaining a clear understanding of current employer needs within the construction sector. Your contribution will play a key role in helping motivated apprentices build successful careers and brighter futures in the industry.
THE ROLE:
Some of you responsibilities as an Apprenticeship Skills Tutor in Bricklaying.
· Coach, assess and support apprentices across both bricklaying and groundworks programmes.
· Carry out regular on-site performance reviews, complete assessments and work with e-portfolios to ensure apprentices develop the skills required to meet high industry standards.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner progress records using digital portfolios and tracking systems, supported by strong IT skills.
· Build and maintain strong professional relationships while effectively managing a caseload of apprentices, communicating clearly with a range of individuals and organisations.
THE CANDIDATE:
We are looking for a confident and engaging Apprenticeship Skills Assesr/Tutor - Bricklaying who can connect with diverse learners and bring the subject to life in a creative, inspiring way.
You must hold:
· Relevant experience in the bricklaying/construction industry
· A relevant industry NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) or higher
· An A1/V1 Assessors Award (or equivalent)
· Excellent IT skills
· A teaching qualification
· IQA Award (desirable)
