Gi Group is delighted to be working with a global leader in the aerospace sector, currently seeking a Project Controller to join their Programme team based in Yeovil on a 12-month contract.
This opportunity is ideal for both graduates and candidates with initial experience in project coordination, planning, or PMO support.
As a Project Controller, you will play a key role in supporting project delivery by managing schedules, tracking performance, and ensuring data accuracy across the project lifecycle.
THE ROLE:
Some of your responsibilities as a Project Controller:
• Support the development and maintenance of project schedules and plans
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on deliverables and timelines
• Monitor project performance, identifying schedule and cost variances
• Produce regular reports to provide clear project status updates to stakeholders
• Maintain data integrity across project systems and documentation
• Support risk management activities, including tracking and mitigation actions
• Assist in budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Work closely with Project Managers to ensure successful delivery
THE CANDIDATE:
• Strong analytical and organisational skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively within a team and build strong working relationships
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (essential)
• Background in engineering, aerospace, or similar industries
Nice to have:
• Experience in project planning, scheduling, or PMO environments
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project
• Familiarity with SAP or similar systems
